Needing to store some hay? This Dahlonega Farmer did. Our hard-working crew constructed this barn in 5 working days.
Board and Batt, Rustic Barn
Tucked on a mountain side, this Cleveland barn owner had the pad graded at the most forgiving side of her mountain property building a rustic, board and batt, old-fashioned pole barn. Reminding her of her grandfather's farm, her choices included 4 open concrete stalls with half walls and 3/4" mats, dirt aisle, wash rack, tack room with enclosed bath, large hay doors and large loft for hay storage.

5 Stall Metal Barn, Office, Loft and More
In Forsyth County, Georgia the owners wanted a metal barn with an extra wide aisle. The barn's aisle provides extra safety when grand kids are skirting around the horses. Also, our customers planned to entertain a lot in their barn and it would allow easier mingling in the crowd. Complete with office, bathroom, loft, tack room and 5 stalls - who would want to spend time at home anymore?

Located in Cumming, GA, the owners of this barn chose to pour a full concrete pad, sliding stall fronts, hand-built slider barn doors, hand-built dutch doors for easy access to the pasture, tack room and wash rack.
5 Stall Metal Barn, Office, Loft and More
In Forsyth County, Georgia the owners wanted a metal barn with an extra wide aisle. The barn's aisle provides extra safety when grand kids are skirting around the horses. Also, our customers planned to entertain a lot in their barn and it would allow easier mingling in the crowd. Complete with office, bathroom, loft, tack room and 5 stalls - who would want to spend time at home anymore?

"Winged" or, Metal Gable Barn with Side Shed
Our Dahlonega pole barn customer wanted a metal barn with side sheds for equipment and hay storage. To gain the most function with a lean budget, she chose to pour a partial concrete pad for the barn aisle, wash rack and tack room/bath. As the horses mainly reside outside, she chose to place stall mats over dirt. Should she, in the future, desire an alternative floor system like gravel, concrete or rubber pavers, we can provide her requests. Her other specifications included sky lights, extended front roof line to provide covered shelter, and hand-built sliding front and rear barn doors.
Metal barn, varied features
Another metal pole barn located in Lula, GA is well designed for this equestrian family. Over a full concrete pad, all four stalls face the paddock, and dutch doors, left open during the day, offer shelter for their horses. Frequently attending horse shows and preferring to tack up in cross ties, this barn features two wash racks, tack room, slider stall fronts and barn "garage" doors in carriage-style design. Wanting the future option to store hay in a loft, we "stick built" this barn with rafters, rather than using trusses, so that their option remained open. By the way - Need tack? Visit our customers on the Helen Highway between Helen and Cleveland at Adams Tack and Feed. Vicki, Larry or Deana will take great care of you. Additionally, Adams Tack and Feed carries many gift type items so you don't have to drive all the way to Horse Town to find the perfect present.

Barn features include sliding stall fronts, wash rack, feed room, gravity fed stall watering system, mats over gravel stall floors, and custom designed "H" stall window shutters. Cedar grain hardi-plank is a popular siding option. The problems of yester-year with these concrete made boards are gone. A critter-won't-bite siding option resistant to horse kicks and looks just like wood, it's easy to paint and easy to maintain.

This customer raises the bar for all of us. Over 60 (and, we'll let you ask how much), our very active and athletic customer enjoys life and inspires us all to live joyfully. Designing a barn that could accommodate a group of riding friends, she requested (and, got!) RV hook ups outside the barn to accommodate visiting friends with horse campers. Interior features include a lovely kitchenette, full bath with shower, 12 x 24 tack/bunk house room, gravity fed watering system and open half-wall stall fronts. One very nice feature includes her ability to create "outside visiting stalls" through the use of secured, gated corral panels under the shed roof sides. Built over a full concrete pad, our customer enjoys her interior wash rack and 4 interior stalls covered with 3/4" mats. The barn's extended front roof houses ceiling fans to add comfort in a relaxing cookout area. The large, swing-out barn doors in dutch-door style is a fun accompaniment to this beautiful barn in Toccoa, GA.

In Talking Rock Georgia, our customer wanted a unique barn design, on a small area of land next to his beautiful home to store and "drive through" a considerably large RV, tractor and other smaller equipment items. Additionally, this barn features a insulated and full sheet rock interior, bathroom, generous work room/bench area with outside deck, stationary steps to the 2nd floor (inside and outside), shutters and easy-to-work garage doors that coordinate with his home. And, you can tell from the paint on the garage that we are still deciding on paint colors and the garage doors will be painted to match the shutters.

Rustic, Basic Barn in Ball Ground, GA for Rescued Animals
Our Ball Ground Pole Barn Customer, Donna has her place reserved in heaven. She rescues ducks, dogs, horses - and, doesn't ride. She just believes they have a right on this earth and does her best to make their time comfortable. Balancing her generosity with a budget and utilizing the thoughtful contributions of a neighbor who supplied the grading and her handy husband, we built the pole barn structure and let Donna and Bob bring water to the barn and turn on the lights. She used open stalls with swinging gates that could be configured to accommodate various animal guests at a time. Small storage rooms for feed were placed on pressure treated wood floors to further economize from the more pricey application of concrete. There is plenty of shelter to make the process of caring for the lucky animals comfortable and enjoyable for the family. This modest barn gains high points in our mind for greatest dollar savings for highest function... it's all she needs to meet her objective.

Our Monroe couple wanted a very basic barn to take the grandchildren to when they wanted to ride horses in the pasture. In commercial construction, our very knowledgeable customer could add additional features to the barn, such as lights or concrete, as he desired in the future. This is a basic and practical barn that will provide comfort and fun memories in their future. It's board and batt siding and the open stall fronts have metal caps to prevent cribbing. The only exception to this gold standard are 16" centers when constructing living quarters or 4' per governmental specifications for some hay barns. It is common in this industry for barn builders to low ball prices by putting much less material in the barn and brush off your inquiry about whether the barn will sag with, "Well, it's just a barn." Simply stated, we build in a similar fashion as the Amish and those barns that were built over a century ago and still standing today. We shop competitively and use the highest grade,of building materials and efficient, conscientious craftsmanship. If the nail is driven in crooked - the nail comes out. Bring your construction friends to visit any of our barns - we are proud to show our work.
