Gable barn, Cumming GA
A call from the Wells Family in Cumming provided us with a delightful project. We met "Sylvia" the show pony who truly needed a new barn. Her current home was a bit shaky as easily noted in the photo. Everyone thought it was a good idea to temporarily board Sylvia, far from the disruptive noise of hammers and saws. However, after a few days away and her refusing to eat, she came right back home! We constructed a temporary stall in the barn as it was being erected for her to remain in the evening and she contented watched her new barn take shape.
Mr. Wells is quite a capable carpenter and contracted us to build the foundation and shell and he finished out most of the interior features.
This metal sided pole barn has stalls, wash rack, tack area and hay storage area. We think it's a dandy barn.
Many thanks to Mr. Wells who documented our photos and very kindly presented us with a disk and a steak cook-out on our last day on the job!
